Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP Sanjay Singh on Monday said that the central government has arrested Delhi Deputy CM Manish Sisodia only due to "political reasons" and to hide the scams done by the Modi government.
Delhi's Rouse Avenue Court on Monday reserved the order in the case pertaining to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) seeking the remand of Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia, arrested by the agency in connection with the excise policy case.
Aam Aadmi Party staged nationwide protests against the arrest of party leader and Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia by CBI in connection with the liquor policy scam case.
"There will soon be an end to PM Modi's dictatorship. He arrested the most popular Education minister (Manish Sisodia) of the country. He is trying to defame Arvind Kejriwal but such acts won't affect his image. It was a cowardly act by the Centre to have Sisodia arrested by the agencies,
"I am told that most CBI officers were against Manish's arrest. All of them have huge respect for him and there is no evidence against him. But the political pressure to arrest him was so high that they had to obey their political masters," Kejriwal tweeted.
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Manoj Tiwari on Sunday reacted to the Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia's arrest in the liquor scam case and said that the "mastermind" behind the scam is yet to be arrested.
