Taiwan's Criminal Investigation Bureau (CIB) arrested members of a fraud ring operating out of Taichung, targeting victims in Japan by impersonating Chinese customs officials.
According to police, the accused reportedly raped the victim in Vasai before bringing her to Mumbai in his auto-rickshaw. He then left her unconscious near Ram Mandir and fled from the spot.

A group of 41 Indian fishermen arrested by the Sri Lankan Navy returned to Chennai Airport. The fishermen, mostly from Ramanathapuram district, were detained for alleged cross-border fishing. Earlier, 15 fishermen detained under similar circumstances were repatriated.
