The Islamabad High Court has fixed former Prime Minister Imran Khan’s petition seeking post-arrest bail in the cipher case for hearing, The News International reported on Saturday.
Imran Khan filed the petition through his lawyer Salman Safdar. The State and Interior Ministry Secretary Yousuf Naseem Khokar have been made respondents in the case.
Abu Hasnat Mohammad Zulqarnain, Judge at the special court established under the Official Secrets Act approved the bail to the PTI leader who was hearing the pre-arrest bail plea in cypher case related to the diplomatic cable.
Advocate Mushtaq Ahmad Mohal filed the petition, representing Bushra Bibi pleading that the agencies including FIA, NAB, police and ACE have been keeping the FIRs secret so the petitioner could not approach the courts for grant of pre-arrest bail.
