The Bhubaneswar-Cuttack Police have arrested a student of KIIT University in connection with the alleged harassment of a third-year B.Tech student from Nepal who died by suicide on Sunday.
Odisha Minister Suryabanshi Suraj confirmed the swift arrest of the accused in the suicide case of a student from Nepal, stating the police are investigating the matter. He promised strict action against anyone involved, including university authorities.
The incident was reported in the Kulchar village of the Vidisha district where the principal of the government high school of the village was involved in alleged obscene chat with female students of the school.
