Pakistan media reported that the Official Secrets (Amendment) Bill and the Pakistan Army (Amendment) Bill, 2023 were passed and became laws on Sunday after President Arif Alvi signed the bills, but President Alvi said on X that he did not sign the bills as he disagreed with the laws.

Army Chief General Manoj Pande on Sunday expressed grief over the death of 9 soldiers, including a Junior Commissioned Officer (JCO) in a road accident in Leh on Saturday, and offered his condolences to the bereaved families, officials said.
"Today is the 7th day of the search and rescue operation at Summer Hill area. So far, we have recovered 17 bodies, and we are searching for other three victims. Teams of SDRF, NDRF and Indian Army are present at the spot," Roop Sharan, an NDRF inspector said while speaking to ANI.
