Union Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal on Thursday criticised the ruckus in the Parliament premises, saying that in the history of Parliament, he has never seen such an incident.
The Union Minister further informed that two of the BJP MPs including Sarangi and Mukesh Rajput sustained "serious" injuries amid a scuffle between MPs from both BJP and opposition parties. Meghwal added that at least four MPs have complained about the scuffle.
The vote results were announced by the Speaker of the Lok Sabha, following Law Minister Arjun Ram Meghwal's formal introduction of the Constitution (129th Amendment) Bill, 2024. He agreed to send the bill to a JPC in response to Union Home Minister Amit Shah's statement.
"Congress has always sidelined BR Ambedkar, they have brought his photo and are taking his name in compulsion. They defeated him twice in elections. His name will be written in golden letters," Meghwal said in Lok Sabha.
