Coming down heavily on Kerala Governor Arif Mohammad Khan, Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Sunday accused him of attempting to disrupt the peaceful ambience in the state.
"This (incident) has the silent support of Pinarayi Vijayan. The police officers are supporting the perpetrators. They have slowed down the vehicles and allowed the goons to come close to the governor's vehicle," Surendran said.
Accusing Kerala Chief Minister of hatching a conspiracy to hurt him after the SFI held black flag protests against him, state Governor Arif Mohammed Khan said that police have been prevented from acting against these criminals adding that he is not scared of anyone.
"It is the CM, he is conspiring and he is sending these people to hurt me physically. The constituon seems to be collapsing. The collapse of the constitutional machinery cannot be allowed," the Governor said.
This comes a day after the Supreme Court quashed the notification relating to the reappointment of Kannur University Vice-Chancellor and found that the appointment was an unwarranted intervention of the state government.
Amid a growing tussle between the Left government and the Raj Bhavan of Kerala on the issue of not signing certain bills, including the bill for land reforms, Governor Arif Mohammed Khan said that he would not sign the bill until queries regarding them are solved.
