Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leader and MP from Bapatla Lok Sabha constituency Krishna Prasad said on Wednesday that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) combination emerging right now is the best thing to happen in Indian history.
Andhra Pradesh Governor S Abdul Nazeer dissolved the 15th State Legislative Assembly with effect from Wednesday following the declaration of results of elections on June 4.
Pointing out the electoral drubbings of the YSR Congress Party and the BJD, which, he said, were the B-teams of BJP, Congress leader Jairam Ramesh on Wednesday warned other regional parties against aligning with the BJP for they end up in the same fate.
As the Bhartiya Janata party rallies for support of alliances to form the government after falling short of majority, Telegu Desam Party (TDP) Chief Chandrababu Naidu on Tuesday extended support to the BJP and affirmed that he is "a part of NDA".
"I'm glad people stood by us. I feel very accountable and responsible for the mandate. It feels good to see such a thumping majority for our alliance and being a part of it I feel good. We will work towards whatever we have promised," Kalyan said.
"Our people of Andhra Pradesh have blessed us with a remarkable mandate. This mandate is a reflection of their trust in our alliance and its vision for the state. Together with our people, we shall rebuild Andhra Pradesh and restore its glory," added N Chandrababu Naidu.
Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leader Kanakamedala Ravindra Kumar exuded confidence in the party's victory in the Lok Sabha elections, saying that it was a "landslide victory' for the TDP.
The Andhra Pradesh Lok Sabha and Assembly elections are witnessing a triangular contest between the ruling Yuvajana Sramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP), the Congress-led INDIA coalition, and the BJP-led NDA alliance, comprising Chandrababu Naidu's TDP and the Pawan Kalyan-led Jana Sena Part
