Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu said that a master plan will be prepared to develop Srisailam as Divya Kshetram, and the issue will be discussed with Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his visit to Srisailam on October 16.
The Chief Minister also directed officials to provide a compensation of Rs 4 lakh each to the kin of four individuals who lost their lives due to heavy rains and accidents.
The Chief Minister highlighted that the Purvodaya Scheme, initiated by the Centre for the holistic development of eastern states, has already identified Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal, Odisha, and Andhra Pradesh as key beneficiaries.
Meanwhile, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin announced a compensation of Rs 10 lakh each to the families of the victims after 36 were killed in the incident.CM Stalin also announced aid of Rs 1 lakh each to those undergoing medical treatment in hospitals.
