Tamil Nadu School Education Minister Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi on Wednesday said that precautionary measures have been issued to ensure the safety of students and staff during the ongoing rainy season.
The Minister pointed out that the Union Government had not allocated RTE funds for the past two years, depriving nearly 60,000 students of benefits. However, the State Government had stepped in to provide the required funds, he noted.
"An inquiry commission headed by a retired judge has been formed. If lapses are found, strict action will be taken against those responsible," Mahesh said while addressing the reporters on Tuesday.
While speaking to the media at the party's Trichy South District office, he said, "His campaign lacks planning. Even his mic went off mid-speech. If he wants to convey clear messages to the people, he must prepare better."
As part of this initiative, the Government High School at K.K. Nagar in Trichy has been upgraded to a Higher Secondary School. The minister inaugurated the upgraded school, welcomed newly admitted students, and distributed books and pens to them.
