A huge consignment of heroin drugs dropped by Pakistani drones at the outskirts of Amritsar, was recovered in a joint operation of the Border Security Force (BSF) and Punjab Police on Saturday.
BSF personnel deployed near Dhanoe village in Khurd district in Amritsar shoot down and intercepted the drone after they heard a buzzing sound of the drone at about 9:35 pm yesterday.
"An operation was launched in which we have arrested a wanted accused named Lakbhir Singh alias Lakha. A Chinese-made drone, 1.6 kg of heroin, a pistol, and a rifle were recovered from his possession," said Snehdeep Sharma, AIG, STF, Amritsar.
