Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw on Saturday toured the Vande Bharat Express to be flagged off by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday. Preparations are also underway at the KSR railway station ahead of the PM's visit, as he will flag off 3 Vande Bharat Express trains at KSR Railway Stat
Prime Minister Narendra Modi flagged off four new Amrit Bharat trains in Bihar's Motihari on Friday and also laid the foundation stone and inaugurated multiple development projects worth over Rs 7,200 crore.
In a post on X, PM Modi said, "Will be in Motihari, Bihar, tomorrow, 18th July. Development works worth Rs. 7200 crore will be dedicated to the nation or their foundation stones would be laid. These works cover Software Technology Parks, four new Amrit Bharat trains, road projects and more."
Speaking during his visit to Patna, the Union Minister said, "...Since 2014, PM Narendra Modi has increased Bihar's railway budget by 9 times and taken it to Rs 10000 crores..."
Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal visited the redeveloped Haibargaon Railway Station in Nagaon district of Assam on Sunday. The station was redeveloped under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme.
Under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Amrit Bharat Station Yojana was launched. Under this initiative, over 1,300 railway stations nationwide are being redeveloped. In Gujarat, 87 stations are being modernized at a cost of Rs 6,303 crore.
