On January 18, at around 11 am, the Prime Minister will perform Bhoomi Pujan for the Kaziranga Elevated Corridor Project, worth over Rs 6,950 crore, and will also flag off two new Amrit Bharat Express trains at Kaliabor in Nagaon district.
"A new structural method will be introduced for technology and innovation, so that India's startups and innovative minds can connect with the railways. A technology innovation portal will be launched for this. AI will be extensively used for maintenance activities," the minister said.
Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi was also present on the occasion. The Prime Minister was felicitated by Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati and the Chief Minister.
The prime minister was addressing the people after inaugurating multiple metro railway projects in Kolkata, and emphasised that India now has the third-largest metro network in the world.
Speaking at the inauguration, the Prime Minister said the Amrit Bharat Express is the country's third modern train after the Vande Bharat and Namo Bharat trains. He added that this "tri-power" of trains would transform the Indian Railways.

Speaking during his visit to Patna, the Union Minister said, "...Since 2014, PM Narendra Modi has increased Bihar's railway budget by 9 times and taken it to Rs 10000 crores..."
