Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir Abdollahian will visit Pakistan on January 29. His decision to visit Pakistan comes after tensions escalated between the two nations following Islamabad's retaliatory strikes inside Iran.
This comes as the Pakistani minister held a telephonic conversation with his Iranian counterpart Hossein Amir Abdollahian on Friday and stressed the territorial integrity and sovereignty of both countries.
"On Pakistan, none of the nationals of the friendly and brotherly country of Pakistan were targeted by Iranian missiles and drones," Abdollahian said on Wednesday on the sidelines of the World Economic Forum in Davos, Switzerland.
Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian hosted External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar in Tehran on Monday. The two leaders discussed expanding bilateral and multilateral ties within the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) and BRICS.
External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar emphasized the crucial role played by the Chabahar port in strengthening connectivity and deepening the bilateral ties between India and Iran.
"The government of India has decided to include Farsi as one of the nine classical languages of India in our New Education Policy," said Jaishankar, highlighting the enduring cultural, literary, and linguistic connections between Iran and India.
Stating that the Palestinian people have the legitimate right to defend themselves against Israel even through "armed struggle", Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian called for an end to the ongoing Israeli actions in Gaza Strip.
Iran's Foreign Minister Hossein Hossein Amir-Abdollahian on Monday warned that "any pre-emptive measure" against Israel is "possible in the coming hours."
Hossein Amir Abdollahian said that a significant part of the persistence of terrorism and its expansion in the region is a cause of concern and poses a threat to the region and the world.
