Former Mumbai Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) zonal director and IRS officer Sameer Wankhede who previously arrested actor Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan Khan in a drug case last year reached Mumbai's Chaityabhoomi to pay homage to Babasaheb Ambedkar on his birth anniversary on Friday.
"Baba saheb gave us the biggest priceless gem 'Constitution of India' and today the constitution is in danger. Institutions are being destroyed one by one. Governments are working to destroy the constitution which was given to us by Dr Ambedkar," he said.
Speaking at an event in Mumbai to mark Ambedkar Jayanti, CM Shinde said, "We are the largest democracy in the world and this has been possible because of Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar."
