According to the police, recovery of 189 kg of dry marijuana had been made by the police and a Bolero car with registration number AS-01-BD-2309 was also seized.
Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha on Friday applauded the Tripura Police for busting a drug menace and seizing drugs worth Rs 2 crore from Ambassa, Dhalai district of the state.
In a joint operation, the Assam Rifles, the Central Police Reserve Force (CRPF) and the Ambassa police seized marijuana worth Rs 70 lakh from the Ambassa area in Tripura's Dhalai district, according to an official statement from the Assam Rifles on Sunday.
"The team apprehended two individuals alongwith 103 kg Marijuana worth approximately Rs 41 lakh and seized one light motor vehicle," the release stated.
