Samajwadi Party (SP) chief Akhilesh Yadav on Monday said that the party ensures that it will work on the footprints of Mulayam Singh Yadav for benefit of Mainpuri with the nomination of his wife Dimple Yadav for the Assembly by-election.
While reacting to the Samajwadi Party's decision to put Akhilesh Yadav's wife Dimple Yadav as a candidate in the upcoming Mainpuri's bypolls, Deputy CM said that BJP will achieve victory in Mainpuri with a thumping majority.
Today, Akhilesh Yadav along with other family members visited the tomb built in memory of Ranveer Yadav and performed a peace yajna there. They were joined by hundreds of supporters and party members. People offered their oblations and laid wreaths on the picture of Ranveer Singh Yadav.
Samajwadi Party President Akhilesh Yadav alleged that a large number of supporters of Samajwadi Party voters were "wrongly removed" from the voter list in the 2022 assembly elections in which the party lost earlier this year.
Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak on Thursday reacted to Samajwadi Party's decision to put Akhilesh Yadav's wife Dimple Yadav as a candidate in the upcoming Mainpuri's bypolls. "BJP will emerge victorious with the blessings of PM Modi," Deputy CM said.
The Samajwadi Party (SP) on Thursday fielded Dimple Yadav, former MP and wife of party chief Akhilesh Yadav, as its candidate for the Mainpuri Lok Sabha constituency.
"Mohammad Azam Khan sahib stands in the eyes of the BJP government because he is a staunch opponent of communal forces and is committed to democracy and socialism. He has a special interest in creative work," said Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav.
The ECI has asked that Akhilesh to furnish details to the Commission by November 10, 2022, so that necessary action can be taken. Yadav has been asked to submit Assembly-wise data of deletions of such magnitude.
A Rampur court convicted Samajwadi leader Azam Khan for allegedly making provocative remarks against Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in April 2019.
