Congress national president Mallikarjun Kharge visited the site of the Air India flight AI-171 crash in Ahmedabad and said such incidents should not be seen as routine occurrences.
Air India's CEO and Managing Director (MD) Campbell Wilson also spoke about the interim payment in a video message and said the airline is in the process of carrying out precautionary safety inspections on its Boeing 787 aircraft
Campbell Wilson said he also met key stakeholders in the government and assured them that Air India is committed to full cooperation with those working on the ground and to the investigations
Arindam Dutta, a serving commercial pilot, on Friday shared his insight into the fatal airplane crash in Ahmedabad and said that the exact details on the incident can only be ascertained after the black box, in the rear of the aircraft is recovered and investigated.

The Air India Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner from Ahmedabad to London Gatwick with 242 passengers crashed in Meghaninagar area at 1:39 pm (IST) shortly after it took off from Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel International Airport.
