CPI General Secretary D Raja on Monday demanded an objective investigation into the Air India passenger plane crash in Ahmedabad, questioning whether the accident resulted from aircraft maintenance failures, airport mismanagement, or runway issues.
The AI 315 flight, a Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner had departed from Hong Kong to Delhi. According to flight tracking site, Flight Radar 24, the air India flight was supposed to reach Delhi by 12.20 PM.
Chief Minister Patel, accompanied by senior cabinet ministers, stood in solemn tribute at the mortuary block of Ahmedabad Civil Hospital, where Rupani's mortal remains were kept for public homage.
Earlier today, a Boeing team and officials of the Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) arrived in Ahmedabad to inspect the site of the Air India plane crash.

Former Gujarat Chief Minister Vijay Rupani, who lost his life in the tragic Air India plane crash in Ahmedabad on June 12, will be cremated in Rajkot later today with full state honours.
"The total number of DNA sample matches has reached 80, out of which 33 bodies have been handed over respectfully to the relatives," said Dr Rajneesh Patel.
