Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Manoj Tiwari on Saturday slammed All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi for criticising the Waqf (Amendment) Bill and alleged that Muslim leaders were constantly lying to the Muslim community on the Waqf Bill.
BJP MP Kamaljeet Sehrawat lashed out at AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi's statement on the Waqf (Amendment) Bill 2024 and claimed that the union government is bringing a "transparent" Bill that will allow everyone to express their views.
BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh on Saturday hit out at All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi for criticising the Waqf (Amendment) Bill and alleged that he was trying to mislead the country in the name of religion.
All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) chief Asaduddin Owaisi spoke on the Waqf Amendment Bill 2024 and said that the BJP does not have a majority in the Lok Sabha, and if Chandrababu Naidu and Nitish Kumar oppose it, it won't be passed.
AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi TPCC General Secretary and Congress MLC elect Addanki Dayakar criticised the Waqf (Amendment) Bill. While, Owaisi supported the 'black band' protest against the Waqf (Amendment) Bill, by the order of AIMPLB.
AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi on Friday launched a sharp attack on NDA allies including Chandrababu Naidu, Nitish Kumar, Chirag Paswan, and Jayant Chaudhary, accusing them of enabling the BJP to target Muslim institutions and warning them that the community "will never forgive" their actions.
"All India Muslim Personal Law Board, AIMIM, Muslim League, all these leaders are now worried that poor Muslims may shift towards BJP, and hence they are giving a false narrative and provoking innocent and poor Muslims," Rao said while talking to ANI.
Congress MP from Sivaganga Tamil Nadu, Karti Chidambaram on Tuesday admitted that the Waqf board needs reform, however, he questioned the "intentions" of Central government over the Amendment Bill, saying that he does not think they are honest.
"The verses of Quran, which were written on a cloth were burned, and when this incident happened the Muslims and Hindus of the area complained to the DCP, urging him to stop this but no action was taken. Then in the evening this incident happened (Nagpur violence)," Owaisi told reporters
