AIADMK General Secretary and Tamil Nadu's Opposition leader Edappadi Palaniswami on Wednesday attacked the state chief Minister MK Stalin by raising the ongoing Cauvery water dispute with Karnataka where Tamil Nadu is not getting the water it has sought from the former.

On the occasion, 600 kg of flower petals were showered by a helicopter as the AIADMK general secretary hoisted the party flag at Valayankulam in Madurai.

Lashing out at Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin over deaths of people due to consumption of spurious liquor in the state, AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami said that the puppet Stalin doesn't have the talent for administration.
"There has been no stringent action against those selling spurious liquor. DMK members themselves are selling spurious liquor. CM MK Stalin must take responsibility for recent spurious liquor-related deaths and should resign," AIADMK General Secretary said.
Earlier on March 19, Madras HC said that AIADMK could continue the election proceedings for the General Secretary post but directed that the results could not be announced.
The announcement came after the Madras High Court Justice K Kumaresh Babu rejected the interim applications filed by AIADMK leaders O Paneer Selvam and his supporters seeking a stay on AIADMK general secretary polls.
