Chief of Defence Staff (CDS) General Anil Chauhan on Sunday visited INS Chilka, the premier training establishment for Agniveers of the Indian Navy located in Odisha.

The passing-out parade of the third batch of Agniveers is scheduled to be held at INS Chilka, a navy base in Odisha, on March 15. The POP marks the successful culmination of training for about 2,600 Agniveers, including women Agniveers who have undergone rigorous training at Chilka.
"I urge the government to take swift action in appointing the 15 lakh youth who were selected for the Army, Air Force, and Navy between 2019 and 2022. The delay in their appointment has caused distress and uncertainty, and it is imperative to resolve this deadlock promptly," the Congress MP
Speaking to ANI, Singh said that the Indian Navy has deployed a huge number of large combatants, which includes the Kolkata class destroyers, many frigates and other ships, to sustain forces there and carry out operations that are primarily focused on ensuring the safety of shipping as well
"The situation on the northern border is stable but sensitive. We continue to talk to find a solution to address and balance issues between the two sides. Operational preparedness is very high, and deployment is both- robust, and balanced..." Chief of Army Staff, Manoj Pande said.
