Reacting to the annual budget presented by the West Bengal government on Thursday, BJP MLA Agnimitra Paul called the budget focused on electoral politics and catering to votes as Lok Sabha polls are around the corner.
"Has Shashi Panja joined the Bharatiya Janata Party recently? I haven't seen her. Why does any internal matter or fight in the BJP trouble her then? What I knew was that she was in TMC till yesterday," Agnimitra Paul said.
Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Rajya Sabha MP Sandeep Pathak extended support to TMC MP Mahua Moitra after she was expelled from the Lok Sabha on Friday, saying that she was "trapped."
Reacting to Trinamool Congress MP Santanu Sen's remarks, West Bengal BJP MLA Agnimitra Paul on Monday said that it is very "astonishing" that an educated person, a doctor like Santanu Sen speaks like an "illiterate."
After the CBI initiated an enquiry in the 'Cash For Query' to look into the allegations, West Bengal BJP MLA Agnimitra Paul on Sunday lashed out at Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, Paul saying that its a "shame" that Mamata Banerjee is "supporting" Mahua Moitra.

"I think her (Mahua Moitra's) party's name should be changed first. TMC was earlier known as Ma Mati Manush government. People in Bengal now know that TMC stands for 'Trinamool Congress Chor Hai'," Agnimitra Paul said.
