Taiwan's Ministry of National Defence (MND) said that it detected 11 Chinese military aircraft, seven naval vessels, and 1 official ship operating around Taiwan until 6 am (local time) on Sunday.

In a post on X, the MND said, "4 PLAN vessels operating around Taiwan were detected as of 6 a.m. (UTC+8) today. Illustration of flight path is not provided due to no PLA aircraft operating around Taiwan were detected during this timeframe."
China's increased military activity near Taiwan ahead of the Han Kuang drills drew U.S. criticism, calling it destabilising. Taiwan detected 41 Chinese aircraft and tracked a carrier rocket. The U.S. urged China to avoid provocation and reiterated support for Taiwan's security.
As per the MND, of the 18 PLA Aircraft, 12 crossed the median line and entered Taiwan's northern and southwestern Air Defence Identification Zone (ADIZ).
According to Taiwan's MND, 27 out of 41 sorties crossed the median line and entered Taiwan's northern, central and southwestern Air Defence Identification Zone (ADIZ).
Of the 41 aircraft, 30 crossed the median line and entered Taiwan's northern, central, southwestern and eastern ADIZ (Air Defence Identification Zone).
