Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath on Thursday inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for 222 development projects worth Rs 659 crore in Bahjoi, Sambhal district.

IRCON, the executing agency for the project, stated that the landslide took place on a hill slope approximately 30 metres away from the portal of the T7 Adit Tunnel. The slide was limited to the left side and occurred in a private area outside the railway land's right-of-way (ROW).
Addressing the media persons here, the Chief Minister said the water level has risen above the danger mark of 113 meters, reaching 117 meters in the Auraiya district.
Speaking to the media, Yadav asserted that his party will continue to teach students until new teachers are recruited for schools that have been closed or merged by the state government.
Schools of all boards, up to class 12 in Varanasi, will remain closed for 2 days on August 5 and 6 in the wake of a flood-like situation in the city, the District school Superintendent said.
