Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath lauded Ayodhya's grand Deepotsav celebration for entering two Guinness World Records by lighting over 26 lakh oil lamps and hosting the largest-ever Saryu Aarti during this year's Deepotsav on Monday.
On the eve of Diwali, the city of Ayodhya witnessed grand celebrations as a spectacular drone show illuminated the sky, adding a modern and artistic dimension to the traditional Deepotsav festivities.
"If we cannot bring the 40 lakh people of the tea community into the mainstream of the society, Assam as a whole will never progress. Therefore, we are continuously working towards this goal," the Chief Minister said.
The world records include the largest display of oil lamps, with 26,17,215 diyas lit along the banks of the Saryu River, and the most people performing simultaneous 'diya' rotation, marking yet another milestone in the spiritual and cultural revitalisation of Ayodhya under the Yogi Aditya
Owaisi appealed to the Indian government on Sunday to bring back the four Indians stuck in Russia and currently being made to fight in the Russia-Ukraine war.
As part of the festivities, the Chief Minister performed the aarti of artists dressed as Lord Ram, Mata Sita, and Lakshman. He also pulled the symbolic chariot, or 'Pushpak Vimaan,' carrying the artists depicting the divine trio.
Ayodhya is set to celebrate Deepotsav from October 19, marking the homecoming of Lord Shri Ram. The grand preparations are underway for Deepotsav to create history with 26 lakhs diyas.
A press conference jointly organised by the Tribal Welfare Department and the TRP & PTG Department. The event was graced by the presence of Minister for Tribal Welfare, Bikash Debbarma, along with the Secretary of Tribal Welfare, Kumar Shashi.
