Delhi's Saket Court on Friday adjourned the hearing on an appeal filed by social activist Medha Patkar after hearing her counsel's part arguements. Patkar has challenged her conviction and sentence in a defamation case filed by the incumbent LG VK Saxena 24 years ago.
Incumbent LG VK Saxena filed a reply on Wednesday on the appeal filed by social activist Medha Patkar, saying the appeal is not maintainable and is liable to be dismissed as it was not signed by the appellant, Medha Patkar.
Additional Sessions Judge Vishal issued notice to LG VK Saxena and sought a reply. Advocate Gajinder Kumar accepted notice on behalf of Saxena. The matter has been listed for September 4.
