A Delhi Court on Friday directed to frame charges against 19 accused persons under sections related to conspiracy for rioting, promoting enmity between two groups, arson, dacoity, murder etc.
A Delhi Court has convicted nine persons in the 2020 Delhi riots case. The court said that the accused persons were part of an unruly mob whose object was to cause maximum damage to the properties of persons belonging to the Hindu Community.
The petitioner said that he with his entire family has been roped in as accused persons in Dhoomanganj in Prayagraj in Uttar Pradesh in the murder case of one Umesh Pal.
The arrested accused persons were identified as Ajmera Rahul, a former friend who is alleged to have circulated her photographs on social media, and an accomplice.
The accused have been identified as Arun, Kamal and Anurag. The police also recovered one sophisticated Pistol with 3 loaded live cartridges and one country-made pistol with one loaded live cartridge from the possession of the accused persons.
According to the police, the accused persons had extorted about Rs 5,79,500 from the complainant and had demanded more money for settling the matter with the girl's family.
The video of the incident in the Sushilpura area of Sodala went viral on social media.
A woman, who resides in the colony where the incident took place, filed a case against the three accused persons at the Sodhala police station.
An illegal casino was busted at Harman Palace in the Jyoti Nagar police station area of New Delhi, police said, adding that they arrested 41 accused persons along with Rs 4.98 lakh in cash, mobile phones and casino coins.
