Congress leader and Senior Election Observer for the AICC, Ashok Gehlot, on Thursday defended Rashtriya Janata Dal leader Tejashwi Yadav as the Mahagathbandhan's Chief Ministerial face after BJP questioned his credibility over charges framed against him in the IRCTC Hotel Tender case.
Addressing the press conference in Patna, the JD(U) chief Spokesperson accused the Mahagathbandhan alliance of corruption in seat sharing, stating that there are 243 Assembly seats and the opposition alliance has fielded a total of 255 candidates.
According to police, the incident occurred around 10:30 p.m. near Komati Cheruvu, on the outskirts of Tuni town, on Wednesday. The accused, identified as Tatika Narayana Rao, reportedly jumped into a lake while being taken to be produced before a magistrate.
