Hours after a CEO of a technology firm was killed by a speeding SUV car in Mumbai's Worli area on Sunday morning, the officials of Worli Police have arrested the accused driver.
"The accident took place near Keri Kangra in Mendhar, Poonch when the driver of the Eco Van lost control over it and the vehicle rolled down many feet into a gorge, leading to the injuries to 14 people-- six of them females and eight males," officials said.
The deceased, Rajalaxmi Ram Krishnan, was a resident of the Dadar-Matunga area and was out for a morning jogging when the incident occurred, the Worli police said.
The Union Minister For Culture, Tourism, and Development of North Eastern Region, G Kishan Reddy on Sunday visited the fire accident scene at Swapnalok Complex in Secunderabad on Sunday.
Six people died on the spot including a child, a woman, and four men. Three people were rescued in critical condition and they were sent to the hospital.
At least five people were injured after a Bengaluru-bound private bus from Mumbai met with an accident, informed officials from Pune's Fire department.
Taking to Twitter, Alvi said, "Another day in the life of Pakistan has passed without catastrophe. Only Allah ul Haq be thanked. Alhamdulillah Narrow escape. Any major accident could have happened."
