Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath visited King George's Medical University (KGMU) Trauma Centre on Sunday to meet people injured after an 'anti-demo' vehicle collided with vehicles parked on the roadside in Lucknow.
Taking to social media handle, Prime Minister's Office (PMO) posted on X, "An ex-gratia of Rs. 2 lakh from Prime Minister's National Relief Fund (PMNRF) would be given to the next of kin of each deceased in the mishap in Kasganj. The injured would be given Rs 50,000."
According to the police, "The accident took place on the Riyazganj-Patiyali Link Road near Gadhai village at 9.30 am. The people travelling in the trolley were from Jaithara village in UP's Etah district and were heading towards Kadarganj to take a holy dip in the Ganga."
Kasganj, Chief Medical Officer, Rajeev Agarwal spoke to ANI about the incident and said, "A trolley carrying people lost balance and fell into a pond. 22 deaths have been reported. 10 have been injured. Most of them women and children."
Two were killed and three injured in a collision between a vehicle and a divider on Saturday.
The incident occurred at the Gabhana police station area of Aligarh. The vehicle went out of control and consequently, the collision happened.
