Delhi's Saket Court has recently dismissed a petition seeking claim for death in a road accident after noting that the bus implicated in the case was not involved in the accident. The bus owner (school) faced the proceedings as the petitioner had implicated the bus in her petition.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday said that directions have been given to probe the train accident in Odisha's Balasore which killed over 260 passengers, and that whoever is found guilty will not be spared.
PM Modi flew down to the crash site in an IAF chopper at Bahanaga Bazar Station in Balasore district and was briefed by Railway Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw about the train mishap, which has claimed the lives of over 261 people.
Leaders from across the world, including President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen and Prime Minister of the Netherlands Mark Rutte, expressed condolences for the triple train crash that occurred in Odisha in which over 260 people were killed.
Tamil Nadu Police has set up control rooms for people to contact and know the whereabouts of people known to them who are stranded in the unfortunate accident in Odisha's Balasore.
According to Railways, the three-way accident on Friday evening led to 261 deaths. The injured have been taken to the Hospitals of Gopalpur, Khantapara, Balasore, Bhadrak and Soro.
"Chief Minister Shri Siddaramaiah has deputed a team led by Minister Shri Santosh Lad to ensure the safety of Kannadigas in Balasore train incident," tweeted the Chief Minister's Office.
