A case has been filed against a female Deputy Tahsildar in Madurai by the DVAC on allegations of accepting a bribe to delay the auctioning of properties linked to a fraud case. Documents have been seized during a search conducted at her residence, said police.
In a significant operation, the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) arrested Endrala Mallesham, a 47-year-old Naib Tahsildar at the Office of the Tahsildar, Shankarapatnam Mandal, for demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs. 6,000.
The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) caught the Deputy Surveyor of Dammannapet Mandal in Bhadradri Kothagudem district demanding and accepting a bribe of Rs 50,000, said a press release from Anti-Corruption Bureau, Hyderabad on Saturday.
The arrest followed a complaint from the individual, who alleged that the accused had initially demanded Rs 60,000 to prevent the cancellation of their distributorship.
