According to the official report, the bus was carrying a total of 57 passengers. While 18 people succumbed to their injuries, 19 passengers sustained injuries and the remaining 20 who were safe were sent to Delhi in other vehicles.

Following the tragic road accident in Uttar Pradesh's Unnao which claimed 18 lives, five of the injured were referred to Lucknow for better treatment while the rest are undergoing treatment at District Hospital in Unnao, an official said on Wednesday.
"About 20 people were safe, and they are being sent to Delhi. We have referred six people to the Trauma Centre, the rest will be treated at the district hospital. We have adequate arrangements for treatment and we will take all necessary action as soon as possible," Rathi said.
