In a post on X, the Indian Air Force - Media Co-ordination Centre stated, "Responding swiftly to a call for crucial humanitarian support, the #IAF deployed a C-130J aircraft to airlift the mortal remains of 25 Indian citizens who tragically lost their lives in a road accident in Nepal."
The aircraft which had taken off from West Bengal, India flew back to Maharashtra carrying 25 bodies of the deceased in the Aanbu Khaireni bus accident.
Kumar said that 51 passengers from Maharashtra are being safely transported from Nepal to India in a travel bus. The passengers are being brought to Gorakhpur under the supervision of police escort and Additional District Magistrate.
