A legion of writers, thinkers and professors gathered in Patna on Saturday to listen to poet-diplomat Abhay K talking about his recently released anthology 'The Book of Bihari Literature'.
The 53rd edition of 'World Earth Day' was celebrated on April 22, with several ambassadors, diplomats, poets, filmmakers, students and people from various walks of life across the world reading and reciting the 'Earth Anthem' penned by Indian poet-diplomat Abhay K.
Poet-diplomat Abhay K called on Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and presented a copy of his book 'The Book of Bihari Literature' which presents an English translation of poems and short stories from 10 languages of the state.
The Book of Bihari Literature was released at Grand Trunk Road Initiatives 3.0 in Patna on Sunday by Samir Kumar Mahaseth, Minister of Industry of Bihar.
The Book of Bihari Literature is a vibrant collection of writings--poems, essays, stories--that have flowed from the pens of the great poets, thinkers and writers across millennia, who were born or lived in what is modern-day Bihar.
"I think in Abhay's Stray Poems, one thing that comes clearly is a sense of abandon and freedom, it's not suited-booted poetry, but poetry that can come at any point of time," added Sukrita Paul Kumar.
During his stay in Brazil Abhay K also wrote a collection of poems on Brazil's capital, Brasilia, titled The Prophecy of Brasilia and a collection of poems on Latin America titled The Alphabets of Latin America.
