Aam Aadmi Party on Saturday protested outside the LG Secretariat Office, demanding the resignation of Delhi LG Vinai Kumar Saxena, days after a mother and son drowned in an open drain in East Delhi.
The Aam Admi Party and Delhi LG engaged in a fresh tussle over the issue of the death of a lady and her child by drowning on August 1 after falling into a waterlogged drain in Ghazipur, near the Mayur Vihar area of East Delhi, following heavy rainfall in the national capital.
The official report stated that a total of 25 deaths were recorded in February 2024, out of which 14 deaths occurred (Male-6, Female-8) in the shelter home in the month of July only.
