BJP MP Ravi Shankar Prasad termed the Delhi Assembly election results as "historic," crediting the victory to Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership and said that the people of Delhi rejected the Aam Aadmi Party's "fraud".

According to latest trends from the Election Commission at 4:30 PM, the BJP has won 40 seats, and leading in 8 others. Meanwhile, the Aam Aadmi Party has only won 17 seats, and leading in 5 others.
The EC data shows that the BJP candidate got 30,088 votes, whereas the AAP chief got 25,999 votes while Congress' Sandeep Dikshit, also contesting from the same seat, showed a dismal performance, getting only 4,568 votes.
"I thank the people of RK Puram, party workers and PM Modi in whose name we fought the election. I have won with a margin of 14,500 votes after the final round of counting," Sharma told ANI.
As the current trends show Bharatiya Janata Party poised to get majority in Delhi assembly elections, social activist Anna Hazare criticised Arvind Kejriwal and Aam Aadmi Party for their alleged involvement in controversies surrounding liquor and money.
As per the early trends from the Election Commission, the BJP is currently leading on 45 seats while the Aam Aadmi Party on 25. Congress is yet to open its account in the Delhi election results.
Speaking to ANI, Lohiya said, "These elections are based on local issues and I believe AAP candidate Gaurav Sharma can work on the poor condition of the Gonda constituency and therefore I have extended my support to him. If there is any party which follows the principles of Dr BR Ambedkar
As BJP is leading in the majority of seats in the Delhi assembly election, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah took a jibe at opposition INDIA bloc members Congress and Aam Aadmi Party (AAP).
