One person was killed and seven others were injured as vehicles collided at the Purvanchal Expressway due to dense fog on Thursday. SHO Gosaiganj said the information about the accident was received at around 7:30 a.m after which a rescue operation was immediately launched.
According to the Additional Superintendent of Police, Udhampur, Anwar-ul-Haq, "The incident took place on Ramnagar- Balandh Road in union territory's Udhampur district. The injured persons have been shifted to the Sub Hospital in Ramnagar."
As many as three people died and seven others suffered injuries in an explosion at a hotel in Khost province of southeast Afghanistan on Monday, reported Khaama Press.
