At least 39 people have lost their lives across different provinces in the country as Afghanistan battles heavy rains and snowfall, Khaama Press reported on Monday.
While speaking to ANI, SP Kangra Shalini Agnihotri said, "District police control room received two phone calls yesterday one at around 4 pm and another at 5 pm that four persons are stranded at Bhagsu waterfall and five more at a different location near Naddi."
"A total of 14 deaths have been confirmed in the accident so far and 56 people injured. Of these injured, 39 people are undergoing treatment at Sanjay Gandhi Hospital in Rewa district," Rewa Superintendent of Police (SP) Mukesh Srivastava said.
