Bangladesh bowlers struck early in the innings to dismiss India's top order leaving visitors reeling at 45/4 and needing 100 more runs to win at the time of stumps of Day three of the ongoing second Test here at the Shere Bangla National Stadium, Dhaka on Saturday
Bangladesh resumed their innings at 71/4, Zakir Hasan and Litton Das handled the charge as they slammed Indian bowlers all around the ground while gathering singles at regular intervals.
Jaydev Unadkat, Ravichandran Ashwin, Mohammed Siraj and Axar Patel took a wicket each to dismantle the hosts in the first session of the third day of the second test. At the crease is Zakir Hasan (37*) with Litton Das, who is yet to open his account.
Rishabh Pant scored an unbeaten 86 and Shreyas Iyer scored 58 not out as India managed to score 226/4 going into Tea break trailing Bangladesh by just one run with six wickets in hand.
Shakib remained unbeaten on 16 while Mominul scored 23 runs looking determined to score big on his comeback. Jaydev Unadkat and Ravichandran Ashwin provided India with the wickets.
Donald also mentioned that India has a handful of hitters up their sleeve, like KL Rahul and Virat Kohli, who would be looking for big scores after missing out in Chattogram.
