ITBP deploys highly-trained officials to search for missing mountaineers

Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami visited the 36th Battalion of the Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP) in Lohaghat today and extended warm Holi greetings to the "Himveers" deployed in safeguarding the nation's borders.

On the occasion, CM said, "I greet everyone here today in Lohaghat at the Kali Kumaon Holi Rang Mahotsav. On this auspicious occasion, joining me on stage are our popular MP from Almora-Pithoragarh and Union Minister, Ajay Tamta; District President of the BJP, Govind Samant; Zila Panchayat Chairperson, Anand Singh Adhikari; and other senior leaders and local representatives."

Various courts in Uttarakhand, including the High Court and District Judge Courts across multiple districts, have been receiving bomb threat emails over the past few days, confirmed IG Kumaon Riddhim Agarwal on Thursday.

Chattisgarh Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai met and interacted with personnel of Indo Tibetan Border Police at Narayanpur district on Friday.

As per the directions of Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, the state government has issued orders to hand over the District Hospital Rudrapur and Women's Hospital Pithoragarh to the Department of Medical Education for the smooth functioning of Government Medical Colleges in Rudrapur and Pithoragarh.

Secretary of Medical Health and Medical Education, Sachin Kurve, issued an official memorandum stating that Jawaharlal Nehru District Hospital, Rudrapur, has been transferred to Pandit Ramsumer Shukla Government Medical College, Rudrapur, for its operation. Similarly, B.D. Pandey District Hospital and the Women's Hospital, Pithoragarh, have been transferred to operate the Government Medical College, Pithoragarh. Until now, these hospitals were under the control of the Department of Medical Health and Family Welfare, Uttarakhand.

As continuous snowfall blankets the shrine, the security forces are not only discharging their responsibility of safeguarding the pilgrimage site but are also embodying the spirit of "self-reliance" and "effective management" by clearing heavy snow from their residential areas.

The formation was led by the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) Brass Band, commanded by Inspector Shamsher Lal. The band, comprising 100 personnel, played "Desh Ke Hum Hain Rakshak". It was followed by the CRPF marching contingent, which, for the first time, was led by Women Assistant Commandants Simran Bala and Surabhi Ravi, with 248 personnel taking part.

Union Minister of State for Communications and Rural Development, Pemmasani Chandra Sekhar, on Saturday, addressed a Rozgar Mela at ITBP RTC, Shivagangai, Tamil Nadu, as part of the Union Government's ongoing efforts to promote employment generation and youth empowerment.

In accordance with the directions of the Union Home Ministry, the Transport Battalion, Indo-Tibetan Border Police Force (ITBP), Behlana Camp, Chandigarh, organised the 18th edition of Mission Recruitment (Rozgar Mela) on Saturday, the Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas said in a press release.
