Shimla (Himachal Pradesh) [India], September 10 (ANI): Himachal Pradesh Leader of Opposition Jairam Thakur launched a scathing attack on Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu-led state government and has said that by increasing the electricity tariff by one and a half times, the state government is trying to ruin the industries running in the state.
“The government has separately increased the electricity tariff and the concession given by the previous government to encourage setting up of new industries in the state has been withdrawn. This is an unfortunate decision taken out of political vendetta. The government is not of the party but of the state. One government gives incentives for setting up industries and another government comes and takes away those facilities,” Jairam Thakur said.
He further said that the many opportunities are available due to the setting up of Industries and the state government wants to destroy the industries in the state.
“Production takes place in the state due to the setting up of industries. Thousands of people get direct employment in the state. Apart from this, many types of opportunities are available. The development of the state cannot be imagined without industries but the government wants to destroy the industries in the state. People who make such decisions want to cut the very branch on which they are sitting,” Jairam Thakur added.
He further said that mafias are scaring the industrialists and CM should take action against them.
“Work is being done in a planned manner to destroy the industries in the state and send them out of the state. On one hand, the harsh decisions of the government are creating a feeling of economic insecurity in the industries, while on the other hand, the fearless mafia system is scaring the industrialists. Due to this, they want to leave the state. On whose instigation are these mafias working? Who is protecting them? The Chief Minister should know this and take action against him,” Jairam Thakur said.
