Mandi (Himachal Pradesh) [India], May 19 (ANI): Prime Minister Narendra Modi guarantees that everyone in the country should have their own house and a needy person should get free treatment, BJP leader and former Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jairam Thakur said here on Sunday.
"Everyone should have their own house in this country. Every needy person should get free treatment, it is the guarantee of PM Narendra Modi. Four crore families in the country have got permanent houses. In the next term of PM Modi, three crore more pucca houses will be built and given to the poor. Similarly, more than 55 crore people in the country have Ayushman cards, through which they are getting free treatment up to Rs 5 lakh," Thakur said while campaigning for the BJP candidate from Mandi Lok Sabha seat Kangana Ranaut.
The Leader of the Opposition further said that in the third term of PM Modi, all elderly people above 70 years of age will start getting the benefits of Ayushman unconditionally
He further said, "In Modi 3.0, all elderly people above 70 years of age will start getting the benefits of Ayushman unconditionally. Every family is getting facilities like rations without any obstacles. It will continue to be available in the future too. This is Modi's guarantee. Due to PM Modi, today from Kashmir to Kanyakumari, the dream of one symbol, one legislation and one head has been fulfilled."
He stressed that the BJP will win all four seats in Himachal Pradesh, and Narendra Modi will become Prime Minister for the third time.
He said, "When the decision was being taken to close the schemes of Mandi, Vikramaditya Singh was supporting it instead of opposing it. When Medical College, Mandi University, Shiv Dham, and Green Field Airport were being closed, he was supporting it. Those who are talking about the development of Mandi while in power were not able to even pick up the debris from the roads of Mandi. Today, Congress leaders are talking about vision but when their family was in power for so long, why did they not talk about their vision?"
He said that the Congress government has failed on every front and has also lost its majority.
"The state government has failed on every front. The people of the entire state are fed up with the dictatorship and high-handedness of the government and are desperate to teach them a lesson by voting against them. The people of the state want to tell the CM that if he enjoys closing institutions if he enjoys firing people from jobs, then people also know how to teach a lesson to the government."
Thakur said that the BJP reduced the fare for women by half and waived electricity and water bills.
"Free treatment of Rs 5 lakh was provided through Himcare, Sahara scheme was given. the unfortunate thing is that the government, which talks about guarantees, has stopped these facilities. Now it is the turn of the people of Himachal to abandon such a government. Road work has come to a halt. The work of the hospital has come to a halt. Schoolwork has come to a halt. Treatment under Himcare has stopped. Sahara's pension has been stopped. To restore all the facilities, it is very important to vote against Congress," he said.
Kangana Ranaut, along with Balh MLA Inder Singh Gandhi and other party leaders were present on the occasion.
Polling for all four Lok Sabha seats in the state will be held on June 1. (ANI)
