United EPS, OPS AIADMK faction confident of getting back 'two-leaves' symbol

New Delhi [India], September 29 (ANI): The All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK) delegation on Friday said they are 200 percent confident of bagging the 'Two Leaves' symbol.

AIADMK delegation led by Chief Minister Edappadi K. Palaniswami and Deputy Chief Minister O. Panneerselvam filed additional documents and affidavits to strengthen their arguments for retrieving the now frozen 'Two Leaves' symbol.

Speaking to the reporters here, V. Maitreyan said, "Last week the EC gave an order, asking for the supporting documents and affidavits. We have submitted all of them today with complete facts and figures. We also have 95 percent to 98 percent MLA support with us. So we are 200 percent confident of winning the row".

Echoing similar sentiments another AIADMK leader K. P. Munuswami said, "All the numbers are required to secure the party symbol. We are confident that we will get the symbol.

The submission came a day after; the EC rejected a plea of sidelined AIADMK leader T T V Dinkaran who sought 15 days additional time to submit affidavits.

In a general council meeting on September 12, the merged faction had passed a resolution stating that the AIADMK will be a unified faction and shall retrieve the two leaves symbol and the AIADMK name. (ANI)
