"RJD stands for 'Rishwatkhor Jungle Raj Daldal'...." says BJP National President JP Nadda

"What is this RJD? It's filled with bribery, jungle raj, and swamps. R stands for bribery (rishwatkhori), J stands for jungle raj, and D stands for swamp (daldal). This is where they have ended up," Nadda said while addressing a public rally in Bihar's Araria today.

Araria (Bihar) [India], May 2 (ANI): BJP National President JP Nadda launched a scathing critique of the Rashtriya Janata Dal on Thursday (RJD) labelling the party initials as 'Rishwatkhor Jungle Raj Daldal.'
"What is this RJD? It's filled with bribery, jungle raj, and swamps. R stands for rishwatkhori (bribery), J stands for jungle raj, and D stands for daldal (swamp). This is where they have ended up," Nadda said while addressing a public rally in Bihar's Araria today.
He expressed concern over the political alliance between RJD and the Congress, highlighting what he viewed as a shift from the party's original ideals during the Jayaprakash Narayan movement.
Nadda drew from his personal experience in 1975, when he was 15 years old and took part in the movement initiated by Jayaprakash Narayan. He recounted witnessing the involvement of leaders like Lalu Prasad Yadav in the movement and expressed disappointment at the latter's transformation.
"In 1975, I was 15 years old when I jumped into Jayaprakash Narayan's movement at his call. I've witnessed those times and the involvement of people like Lalu Prasad. I saw the movement back then, and today, when I look at Lalu's son Tejashwi and see how Lalu Ji is now teaching Rahul Gandhi how to prepare 'muttton,' it makes me wonder. I wonder what kind of alliance is this? The same Lalu Prasad Yadav who, during Jayaprakash's movement, raised his voice against nepotism, favoritism, bribery, and corruption, has now, himself steeped in corruption, aligned with those Congress members against whom he fought during the Emergency. What kind of situation has this become?," Nadda said.
Nadda further highlighted the BJP-led central government's efforts to improve the welfare of India's citizens, particularly through the Ayushman Bharat scheme.
"Through Ayushman Bharat, 10 crore, 74 lakh families, 55 crore people, and 40 per cent of India's population, mostly the poor, are given medical insurance of Rs. 5 lakhs. Nobody was concerned about the transgender community. PM Modi has included them in the Ayushman Bharat scheme," Nadda said.
Nadda also mentioned future plans by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to extend a similar insurance benefit to people over the age of 70.
"In the coming times, PM Modi is planning to give Rs. 5 lakhs insurance to people aged above 70," Nadda said.
Polling in Bihar, which sends 40 members to the Lok Sabha, is being held across all seven phases--April 19, April 26, May 7, May 13, May 20, May 25, and June 1. Saran is set to poll in the fifth phase on May 20.
The counting of votes for all phases is scheduled for June 4.
In the 2019 elections, the BJP-led NDA nearly mopped up the poll sweepstakes in the state, winning 39 of the 40 seats. (ANI)
