Patna (Bihar) [India], June 17 (ANI): Union Minister for State Home Affairs Nityanand Rai on Tuesday criticised RJD Supremo Lalu Prasad Yadav for insulting Dr BR Ambedkar's image during his birthday celebrations.
The Union Minister said that rather than apologising for his "grave sin," RJD is trying to justify the act.
In a statement, Nityanand Rai said, "Lalu Prasad Yadav insulted Baba Sahab's picture by placing it on his feet on his birthday has been seen across the country. This is the reality and the real face of Lalu Prasad Yadav and his party RJD but even after insulting Baba Sahab Ambedkar, Lalu Prasad Yadav and Former Bihar Dy CM Tejashwi Yadav show arrogance instead of apologising to the country."
Union Minister of State for Home Affairs Nityanand Rai also accused the Congress party of constantly insulting Baba Sahab. He said the Congress party has always worked to insult Baba Sahab and has a long history of hatred towards him.
"The Congress party decorated the Central Hall of Parliament with photos of its leaders, but did not put up even a single photo of Baba Sahab. Lalu Yadav sat in the lap of the same Congress party, so he is an equal partner in insulting Baba Sahab", Nityanand Rai said in his statement.
RJD does politics in the name of Dr BR Ambedkar and works to insult him. Whenever RJD people are in power, they do not remember Baba Sahab, and once they are out of control, they do politics in the name of Baba Sahab. So what have you done in honour of Baba Sahab? When you were with the Congress government, what did you do for Baba Sahab?", the BJP MP further added.
"Congress Party did not give even 4 yards of land to Baba Sahab, but the BJP has established 'Panch Teerth' for him", he added
MoS Home Rai hit out at former Dy CM Bihar, Tejashwi Yadav, for his remark that he wants to create a new Bihar with a new way of thinking. MoS Home said that Tejashwi Yadav does not do politics of issues but politics of corruption, nepotism, and jungle raj.
"Tejashwi Yadav does not do politics of issues but politics of corruption. He does nepotism and jungle raj politics. This is the identity of Tejashwi Yadav, and the people of Bihar know and understand this identity very well. The 13 crore people of Bihar are not going to fall into the trap of RJD because the entire Bihar is aware of the reality of the Lalu family", Nityanand Rai said. (ANI)
