Chennai's Amirta gives away awards to students

Chennai [India], May 2 (ANI-Newsvoir): Chennai's Amirta International Institute of Hotel Management gave away academic awards, cash prizes and scholarships worth Rs. 7 lakhs to a total of 340 students of the institution as a gesture of encouragement and recognition for commitment to learning and competitive spirit, recently.

Chennai [India], May 2 (ANI-Newsvoir): Chennai's Amirta International Institute of Hotel Management gave away academic awards, cash prizes and scholarships worth Rs. 7 lakhs to a total of 340 students of the institution as a gesture of encouragement and recognition for commitment to learning and competitive spirit, recently. Meritorious candidates were honoured Subject wise, Programme wise and Branch wise at cheers 2017, Grand Academic Merit Awards. Mr. Harhiharan who emerged on the top among all other students across the branches of Chennais Amirta was facilitated with 100% scholarship. His fee was totally refunded and further a cheque of Rs. 25,000 was awarded as a sort of motivation. Rs. 50,000 and 100% Semester Scholarship was given away to E. Elumalai, BSc., Final year student who brought laurels to the institution winning bronze medal in Culinary Art India 2017 national competition. R. Murugan, V. Vignesh and P. Vanaraja who fetched merit awards in `Bakery' category in Culinary Art India 2017 event were each honoured with Rs. 10,000 cash prize. In addition, all the winners were promised free trip and three days stay in Malaysia. "Our students make us proud with their skills and talent not only within institution but also national level. This stands credential to our unique skill-based education and helping our students be on the forefront in employability. As a due recognition to the achievers of our institution and inspiration to the aspiring students we are indentifying and appreciating the talents" said Mr. Leo Prasath, Dean - Academics and Mr. R.
