New Delhi [India], Dec 2 (ANI):Since centuries, story telling has been an important tool for education.Teachers can harness the power of stories to engage learners emotionally and biochemically to create rich learning experiences in sciences, mathematics, social sciences or languages.

The need for exploring and addressing emergent areas in teacher development stems from a perceived need for identifying areas for knowledge transfer and proficiency building.

Mala Palani who conducted a story telling workshop on Friday emphasized on the need to create compelling stories with coherent narrative structure with attention to detail, descriptive language, and a clear focus on learning outcomes.

This first of its kind workshop was organised by Oxford University Press on Story-telling Activities for classes 2-7 in New Delhi, which saw participation from various CBSE affiliated schools and teachers across the city.

It was conducted under the Train II transform workshops series of teacher training to benefit teachers' fraternity across the country. (ANI)
