India celebrates Holi with usual fervour

New Delhi [India], Mar 21 (ANI): India on Thursday celebrated the festival of colours--Holi--with full fervour and enthusiasm. Grooving to the beats of songs, people can be seen splashing and smearing each other with water, colour, and paint.
People could also be seen playing Holi in different ways at different places. Some went for using natural and organic colours while others celebrated the festival with dry colours.
Not only Indians but expats also fully enjoyed themselves by getting themselves drenched in the colour of the festival.
Pink city--Jaipur celebrated the festival with much fun and joy. A group of foreigners can be seen dancing and celebrating Holi to the fullest. A woman from England said that she enjoyed every minute and wished everyone a happy Holi.

                   
In Guwahati, people played Holi with dry colours. People thronged Fancy Bazar in a large number throwing colour at each other and grooving to the tune of DJ.

In Mumbai, people can be seen playing Holi at Juhu beach where an expat told ANI that he not only loves India but is really fond of the Holi festival. 


Prayagraj’s lanes were full of people playing Holi and enjoying the festivities with much fervour and joy.


In Hyderabad, kids can be seen playing with sticks and going organic and playing smearing natural colours on each other.


In Kullu, people celebrated the festival by visiting the Raghunath temple and performing some rituals there.


On the other hand, in Shimla, Afghani students studying at the University College of Business Studies participated in Holi festival with the local students. According to them, celebrating the festival together makes them live with peace and harmony with each other.

In Kanpur, people went to the Shiv temple to celebrate the occasion and can be seen throwing colours at each other.


People from Rajasthan residing in Coimbatore celebrated the festival in their own traditional way. (ANI)
